NMC Designs Website for the John Rex Endowment

May 22, 2013

New Media Campaigns recently designed, and launched a website for the John Rex Endowment, a Raleigh-based non-profit organization. The John Rex Endowment funds projects that promote the physical and mental health of children in Wake County. The organization aims to promote active living and positive mental health, increase children’s access to healthy food, and prevent injury.

After 12 years with their previous site design, John Rex Endowment consulted NMC to create a custom website design for the non-profit. NMC created a website with a modern and simple aesthetic. The homepage features a rotation of images of children and teens – representative of the population that the organization serves. There are also statements that reflect the organization’s mission on each rotation image.

Colorful links under the homepage rotation draw visitors’ attention to areas of the site that list funding and application information. There is also a link to the Learning page, which is where the John Rex Endowment shares insights on the community and the organization’s objectives. There are different areas that list news pieces on the site. Individuals at the organization can easily update grant information and news on the site because it is built on the HiFi Content Management System.

The positive and colorful site reflects the culture and mission of the organization. The site will serve as a great tool for the organization to continue enhancing the health and lives of children in North Carolina.
