Ideas
																			for Your Next Homepage That
																			Don't Include a
																			Full-Width Image

From site to site, you’ve probably noticed that most
homepage designs include a large image at the top,
usually with an overlay that highlights a main
heading or call-to-action. This format is popular
because it generally captures users’ attention and
																	provides a robust first impression.

But if you look beyond the traditional masthead
image, you’ll see that alternative styles are a
great way to set your homepage apart – or to build a
design when you don’t have a great collection of
																	photos to work with.

This month we’ve gathered examples of homepage
mastheads that forgo the traditional image treatment
in favor of strong typography, textures,
																	illustrations, and animations.
