New Items for 2011

It's going to be hard to follow such a great 2010, but we're committed to continue moving forward and upward in 2011.  Here are some of the initiatives on which we're placing the most focus.

HiFi.  We're incredibly proud of the platform we've built with HiFi CMS, and we are going to make marketing and improving the system a large focus of 2011.  Luckily, our team has a "deep bench" that enables us to build, improve, and market such a great product while continuing to serve and grow our services client-base.  We've never marketed our own product before and have a lot to learn, but we're excited and ready for the challenges ahead.

Continue to Grow Technically. As noted above, we're really proud of the team we've assembled and the type of work we're able to do.  However, perhaps the biggest dangers to a web company are complacency and stagnation.  This past year, our team emphasized using cool web technologies like HTML5, Javascript templates, and advanced jQuery -- a lot of others took notice of our efforts.  Also, to ensure our team was learning from one another, we instituted Friday Lunch and Learns where developers or project managers could share new technologies with the rest of the team.  We're proud of the projects we did this year and the technical focus we brought to them, but we're committed to devoting even more resources in 2011 to staying ahead of the curve and continue leading the way.

New NMC Site.  Our current site has served us very well, but it has been over a year and we're planning on launching a new site in the first quarter of 2011.  Our current site does a great job of presenting content and explaining who we are, but it's starting to feel a little stale to us and doesn't necessarily do our designers justice.  The new site will put our work upfront and emphasize design a little more, but we recognize the importance of maintaining the accessible and intuitive nature of our current site.

Some Fun Side Projects.  You'd think we have our hands full building over 100 sites and launching a new product, and we do, but we're also focused on launching a couple of side projects next year.  While we hope that others find these projects useful and they attract NMC some extra attention, that's not the main point of the projects.  They're really just a great way to get the entire team united around an idea and push us to quickly build and launch something.  We'll release more on these projects over the coming months and hope you find them as fun as we do!

Thank You!

We can't thank you all enough for the amazing 2010 and helping us get everything lined up for 2011. Your support, feedback, and business are invaluable to us. We wish you all happy holidays and a very happy new year!
