Back To School:
The Needs of Education Websites & Our Education Work

With students across the country returning to school at all levels, we thought it would be a great time to spotlight some of the work we do in the education space. Education work is always unique, defined by the need to engage a range of audiences including current students, parents, prospective students, donors, teachers, and even policy makers. We work to balance multiple audiences by elevating important details through design and utilizing persona-driven navigation to quickly direct users to relevant, helpful content.

Take one of our clients, New Visions for Public Schools as an example. Their Portal platform is used across all of New York City's public schools, supporting 800,000+ students and their families in an effort to reduce educational inequity and expand opportunity. Additionally, they make curricula available to students and families and offer professional services to school districts and administrators across the country. One site and organization, numerous audiences with different goals.

In our latest case study, read about our work with New Visions and how we helped clarify their positioning, streamline their digital footprint, and meet audiences where they are. Then, check out some of our other education focused work in this back-to-school edition of our newsletter. And good luck to all navigating their own back-to-school season!

RECENT LAUNCHES

KIPP Northern California

KIPP Northern California architects joyful, academically excellent experiences across seven cities and 23 schools in their region. Their new site needed to engage parents making an important decision for their students, broadcast their impact to donors, and engage their local communities. We worked with them to help define what it means to be a part of their network, streamline the admissions process, and bring that same joy to their new site.

Hussman School of Journalism & Media

Consistently ranked as one of the top programs in the country, the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media needed a new site to promote programs and share important details about admissions and events. The site needed to appeal to undergrads and graduate students, potential faculty, peers, and others. Given that several on our team are alums, we were particularly excited to help them stand out. Read our case study to get a full view of this project.
