Our Work

Know + Love

The Know + Love Project, a non-profit in North Carolina, came to New Media Campaigns looking for a site that would help them effectively spread their cause to raise awareness and support for the equal rights for gays and lesbians.  In order to design a site that could connect with people on a personal level, NMC heavily focused the site on the personal video stories and written stories of those with gay and lesbian family members.

The homepage gives the viewer a snapshot of the mission of the project and the contents of the website.  The videos, which automatically pull from their YouTube channel, are displayed at the center of the homepage to ensure the stories would be noticed first when the site is visited.  A description of Amendment One is displayed under the stories since this is the main issue the project addresses.  At the bottom of the homepage, a series of powerful quotes is displayed to further express the message.

The project is centered on the belief that conversations with people we know and love often make the biggest difference, which is displayed at the top of each page on the site.  With this concept in mind, NMC’s designers and developers created the site to offer the insight and perspective that comes with these types of conversations to a larger audience.  People can view the various video stories on the View Videos Stories page and choose to share their own by submitting the form found on the Share Your Story page.

NMC is confident that that these features will fuel dialog among people in North Carolina that will foster compassion and understanding.
