Tyler Pearson: Front-End Developer
Tyler is a front-end developer and designer at New Media Campaigns where he focuses on building beautiful websites for clients with optimized, standards-based code. Tyler also leads the design process for select clients, taking them all the way from concept to code. Tyler joined the team in August of 2011 and came to NMC with extensive WordPress experience, allowing him to help service and support NMC projects with that system as a requirement, in addition to building projects on NMC’s HiFi CMS.
Tyler came to NMC after running his own web design and digital strategy business, Blue Peak Digital, which worked closely with issue-based organizations and political campaigns to change public policy and win elections. Blue Peak Digital built and ran full digital efforts for campaigns from city council to governor across West Virginia. Former clients include West Virginia House Speaker Rick Thompson and House Majority Leader Brent Boggs.
Outside of work, Tyler helped start and run the Upper Big Branch Family Fund, a non-profit that raised over $100,000 for the children of the miners killed in the 2010 mine disaster to pursue higher education. In 2011, Tyler worked to secure passage of West Virginia HB3202, a law that substantially increased protections for residential tenants across West Virginia. Tyler grew up in Annandale, VA and graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Accounting.
