Jon Cardin for Attorney General

After a period of time serving in the Maryland House of Delegates, Jon Cardin has announced his running for the Attorney General of the state.  Cardin has become most well-known for introducing Grace’s Law, a law focusing on cyber-bullying that makes it a misdemeanor to repeatedly bully a minor through a computer or smartphone. The purpose of this site is to act as an information hub for all of Cardin’s current and potential supporters and donors. NMC made accessibility, organization, and pleasing visuals priorities while design Cardin's site.

After communicating with Cardin’s campaign team, NMC created a custom site that was clean and unique.  Visitors to the site are greeted with a video featuring Jon Cardin announcing his intent to run for Attorney General.  This multimedia landing page ensures that all of the information that Cardin’s campaign wants visitors to see most is presented right away. A button floating beneath the video leads visitors to the homepage, where all of the site’s core substance is organized.

A menu runs across the top of the homepage.  Links to the candidate’s social media pages can be found on the ‘Connect’ page.  A chronological list of upcoming events can be explored under 'Events'.  The ‘Media’ page holds videos and photos that are directly fed from Cardin’s Flickr account so the campaign team is able to maintain them all in one place.

The home page features a full-sized photo carousel, a news feed, a video portal, and links to the contribution page and four “call to action” buttons. As visitors explore the site, these pieces of information can be found in the sidebar.

The site’s organization ensures an enjoyable and easy experience for visitors.  The site being built on the Hifi Content Management System ensures the same for the campaign team as they update the site throughout Jon Cardin’s venture towards the Maryland Attorney General position.
