Franklin County came to New Media Campaigns with the desire to design a website that would be a hub for residence. They wanted an attractive website that could inform citizens about employment information, county services, and how to get in touch with county officials. They also wanted a sleek design to convince prospective citizens that Franklin County was where they should settle down.
NMC partnered with Liaison Design Group to build a website included several custom features to appeal to Franklin County residents. The website includes calendar that pulls from each county department’s Google Calendar but is styled to match the overall design. The calendar is sortable by department so that visitors can quickly find upcoming events for specific departments. As a nice bonus for county residents, NMC built a custom weather widget showing local data from Weather.com and displays an image to correlate with that data.
Franklin County has more than 25 departments throughout its governing system and needed a very flexible content management system to meet each department's requirements. NMC’s HiFi made this possible. Each department is able to change and update their own area of the website, allowing for quick and easy updates.
