A statewide non-profit seeks to engage visitors with an informative and interactive website

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Carolina puts all of their focus on the kids. Based in Raleigh, NC, their mission is to renew the lives of families and communities across the entire state. Partnering with a web design firm, New Media Campaigns helped transform RMHC's website from a simple brochure site to an informative and engaging site for visitors to learn more about the non-profit and how to get involved.

Everything is controlled by our content management system giving the organization the flexibility and ease they need to make regular updates and changes. A major stepping stone for the organization was allowing people to donate online for the first time. New Media also worked with RMHC on their "Send a Heart" campaign for Valentine's Day, an added online element to their annual "Share Your Heart" campaign at selected local stores. Creating the idea that visitors could go to the website and email a heart with a personalized message to friends after donating a dollar, the campaign established the website as more of a destination and to refer others to the campaign.

The website is a great example of how to supplement brick-and-mortar campaigns with an online touch that will drive traffic to your own website. Not only does it launch the campaign into a much larger group of people but it also creates a great online presence for the organization that can last all year long.
