Mandel's new site brings energy and passion to his campaign for Treasurer
After developing Josh Mandel's state representative website a few years ago, New Media Campaigns knew they working for an eager and dedicated politician. Now running for State Treasurer of Ohio, Josh Mandel contacted New Media Campaigns to redesign his website to bring a fresh, new energy to the campaign. While retaining a few design aspects of the original site, the new campaign site is reinvigorated with rotating media and crisp graphics making it one of the best online campaigns in the state.
Mandel's updated Political Splash page has been instrumental in boosting signups and creating awareness of the connectivity Mandel offers through various social media sites. Beyond the splash page Mandel's website offers a multitude of resources and opportunities while maintaining a streamlined navigation.
A few new additions to his site include homepage media rotation and a pop-up video player allowing for a seamless experience. Everything, including the media rotation, is controlled by our content management system, allowing the campaign team to regularly update the website with new videos, news, and resources.
When developing a campaign website it is important to create unique experiences for voters that differentiate your campaign from your opponents. In Mandel's case, the campaign developed the Mandel Mile Marker, showcasing Josh's relentless dedication to listening to the citizens of Ohio. The Mile Marker keeps a count of how many doors Josh has knocked on throughout his campaign as well as the amount of miles his car has logged while he travels across Ohio to listen to concerned Ohioans. The site also encourages voters to spread the word by sending an email to friends and family suggesting they visit the Mandel website.
Within the first 24 hours of launching, the website logged several thousand visits and hundreds of email signups. New Media was excited to work with a young and knowledgeable candidate who embraced technology and really used the website to his campaign's advantage.
