Creating a Sophisticated Website for an Innovative Design Firm

Altitude is a design firm that specializes in branded environments, wayfinding signage, and brand design.

With a thoughtful approach that includes a heavy emphasis on storytelling, Altitude is known for creating unique experiences that combine clear wayfinding communication with innovative and engaging design choices.

After outgrowing a site that they had created and managed in-house, Altitude came to us for a new B2B website design that would elevate their work and provide a solid technical foundation for future growth. We worked closely with their team of designers to develop a concept that utilizes on-trend dark backgrounds, minimalist layouts, and dynamic effects that bring the design to life.

An Inviting Homepage

Leading with simplicity, the site’s homepage invites users to explore a selection of featured projects, recent news, and core service offerings. Menu items are neatly organized into a mobile-style collapsible nav, and a large call-to-action in the footer uses one of our favorite features on the site – a color changing background that highlights Altitude’s signature yellow accent shade.

A Cohesive and Scalable Platform

The site’s interiors are intentionally flexible and adaptable. Our Work, the main portfolio page, includes several pre-styled row layouts that allow Altitude to curate a custom feed of recent projects. Individual project pages, like the one for City of Hope, are equally versatile, featuring elements like statistics, sliders, pull quotes, and various photo grid options. Other notable features are filterable News & Insights, a detailed About page, and landing pages for Altitude’s main service offerings.

Built on a reliable WordPress base, every section of the site is easy for admins to update and grow. A library of custom content blocks ensures that all changes are consistent with the original design and streamlines the process for building out additional stories, portfolio items, and entirely new pages.
