Advance Community Health is dedicated to accessibility, connection and community. The non-profit organization, formerly known as Wake Health Services, changed it’s name and branding to reflect it’s mission to be a catalyst for progress and to provide quality healthcare to the entire community.

They came to NMC hoping to solve four major problems:

  • Creating one cohesive, easy to navigate website for patients, potential employees and donors on an open source content management system.
  • Highlighting their many different locations in The Triangle
  • Clearly showing available job openings
  • Addressing an organization rebrand and communicating the new name.

The NMC team dove in creating a website that showcased ACH’s new branding. We created a visual user-based navigation to help site visitors quickly identify their role and access the information they want to obtain. This system lives harmoniously with a more traditional top level navigation.

There is a dropdown above the main banner image for first time visitors so they can easily see that the organization has been rebranded to ACH. Once the branding transition is complete, ACH can use the banner dropdown for announcements and calls to action.

ACH's branding is reinforced through the use of consistent custom designed iconography on the homepage, interior sidebar, services and Spanish portal.

The website is build on the WordPress Content Management System because of ACH's desire for an open source solution. All areas of the website – from the homepage banner image to the sidebar buttons to the subnavigation to the testimonials that appear on each page – are completely controllable through the CMS, giving ACH the ability to scale the website in the future.

ACH wanted to demonstrate its commitment to its current patients and the loyalty it receives in return. NMC accomplished that desire by including a testimonial on each page of the website. The testimonial can be specifically determined for any given page or it can randomly pull from a collection of the organization's testimonials on each page load.

The resulting website is vibrant and clean. Design updates and the multi-faceted navigation allows for maximum accessibility, allowing Advanced Community Health to push the needle forward on their mission.
