A Florida initiative reaches voters online with a comprehensive and informative website

The Polk Citizens for Good Government approached New Media Campaigns to create a website for their ballot initiative in the 2008 election cycle. In partnership with Cornerstone Solutions, New Media helped to develop a website that encouraged visitors to volunteer, donate, and ultimately, vote. 

The citizens of Polk County in Florida needed a distinct and comprehensible website that would inform voters on proposed charter amendments and in due course call them to action on election day. VoteYesforPolk.com does exactly that. By implementing a few key design principles, the website is distinct, friendly, and effective.

The home page provides an easy way to sign up for email updates as well as specific section for upcoming events and the latest news updates. Overall, the Polk Citizens for Good Government website proved to be a successful campaign when, on Election Day 2008, all proposed amendments passed and New Media Campaigns was happy to accommodate and go beyond the needs of this Florida ballot initiative.
