National College Advising Corps

New Media Campaigns is proud to once again redesign the National College Advising Corps website. Looking to do what Teach for America did for teaching, the NCAC, headquartered at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, hires and trains college graduates to staff under-served high schools across the nation. NCAC trains these advisers to assist students with the enormous difficulties involved with higher education such as financial aid and applications.
NCAC felt that a cleaner, more vibrant design would translate well with their engaged, civic-minded advisers. NMC created a homepage slideshow to visually demonstrate the advising role NCAC has had on the community and a sidebar spotlight on service lets visitors get a personal feel for the advisers that make up the core of the organization.
NMC custom built a password protected portal for both current advisers and Program Directors so that they can upload and share resources and files in an always-accessible online directory.
The organization has been featured in The Washington Post, Dan Rather Reports, and other publications. The NCAC is really making strides in the way of secondary education and New Media Campaigns was happy to help them take their online presence to the next level!
