Once again, New Media Campagins was privileged to design and develop a website for a political candidate seeking to win an upcoming election.  You would think that after having done over 20 political websites, NMC would have run out of ideas on how to make each website unique, personal, and tailored to the specific needs of the candidate.  Keith Sutton’s Campaign website is a perfect example of how that is not the case.

Sutton, who is running for Wake County School Board, had a few requirements for his website.  He needed the site to feature information about his campaign, up-to-date news about events or fundraisers, and a way contact him. The site had to be clean and easy to navigate, allowing any visitor to find the information they needed quickly.  As far as political websites go, Sutton needed a standard one.  But when NMC went to work, he got so much more. 

The new website, which launched in under two weeks, addresses the needs of this particular politician while going the extra step. The social media integration sidebar updates website visitors of the latest status or tweet from the campaign.  The site also has a Press section to inform visitors of every time Sutton is in the papers.  To highlight Sutton’s involvement in the community, a homepage image rotation depicts him attending school events, conversing with prominent public officials, and giving speeches.  This tactic pictorially informs website visitors of Sutton’s experience and leadership.
