JUMPO

New Media Campaigns initially designed the Jacksonville Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization website in early 2008 and they were so pleased with the experience that they came to us again when they wanted to re-imagine the site to focus more on their upcoming projects and make sure committee members were appropriately notified of meetings.
Because Jacksonville is a military town, the website design needed to be neat, focused and straightforward. A simple dropdown menu allows visitors to quickly find their desired information and a discreet helicopter floats over the site in the header image.
In order to keep committee members aware of upcoming meetings, the website features both public announcements in the sidebar and a calendar showing upcoming events in a month-by-month format. The sidebar public announcements feature automatically updates as new events are added in the Content Management System and visitors can click on events to learn more about them. The calendar is deeply integrated with JUMPO's Google Calendar and shows their events while maintaining the website's design.
JUMPO had a large stock of images depicting the Jacksonville area and they really wanted to show off the landscape throughout the site. Each interior page features a beautiful banner image that can be easily updated through the CMS. As visitors explore the site, they are consistently reminded both visually and contextually about what Jacksonville, NC and its transportation planning agency are all about.
