A custom feature-rich web design to complement Farouk's attitude of a self-made businessman
In his bid for Governor of Texas, Farouk Shami wanted to highlight his experience as a businessman and creator of jobs. He came to New Media Campaigns because of their experience with political web design and the knowledge that they could turn his vision into a reality.
Because Farouk needed to first win the primary and then the main election, he wanted a web design firm that could deliver a website he could update as the campaign progressed. NMC's Content Management System allowed Farouk to update news and events, keep his Truth Squad in the know, and manage a homepage slideshow to illustrate the most important current issues in the campaign.
The Farouk for Governor site's sidebar allowed visitors to donate to the campaign, share the site with friends, and volunteer at an event. It also provided information for how to vote early, receive updates about the campaign through text messages and dsiplay the most recent stories from Farouk's TV and Twitter feeds. The sidebar was displayed on every page to ensure that a visitor was always able to keep up with the latest happenings around the campaign.
By giving users so many options for interacting and connecting with the campaign, we were able to expand the candidate's presence both on the web and off it.
