Kansas State Attorney General

Campaign Site to Constituent Site

After using New Media for his online campaign in 2006, the newly elected Attorney General Morrison chose the company to create his constituent site. The AG's goal was to reinvigorate the office and have a new-age and attractive web presence. After adhering to the state's 30 page branding document on how to use their logo, New Media delivered a design that blew the staff away.

In order to make the site as constituent-friendly as possible, there is a Quick Links section on the homepage that gives visitors immediate access to the office's most in demand services. The sidebar menus drop down in place when clicked on, allowing for easy navigation throughout. New Media also built forms to capture consumer complaints, appearance requests, and contact submissions. The complaints are emailed to the office and automatically dump into a database accessible by the staff.

The AG's office also plans to use the backend's micro-targeting capabilities to blast out emails based on interests that visitors list when they register for the site's email newsletter. The new site has streamlined communications with the Attorney General's office and given a new brand and identity to the position.
