N.Y. Gubernatorial Candidate Signs With NMC

State's John Faso strives to create active Internet campaign with company's tools

Research Triangle Park, N.C.-New Media Campaigns, a leader in providing Internet-based marketing solutions and Web development tools to empower political campaigns, non-profit organizations and businesses, is pleased to announce that it has signed New York's John Faso as a client. Faso, who served as a member of the New York State Assembly from 1987 until 2002, is now running for governor of New York.

After receiving his law degree from Georgetown University, Faso became a partner in Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, a national law firm. His work at the firm focused on local, state and federal government advocacy in the fields of healthcare, energy, transportation and financial and insurance services. In addition to this work, Faso chaired Gov. Pataki's 1994 budget transition team, which developed a plan for New York's first statewide spending reduction in 52 years and helped to demolish a $5 billion deficit. He also received a 1997 Distinguished Public Service Award from the Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy of the State University of New York's University at Albany.

When he began campaigning, Faso and his team turned to the Romanelli Group, a New York advertising firm, to design a visually appealing Web site. However, due to a desire to establish a campaign of constant action, Faso also sought the aid of New Media Campaigns to develop a pioneering content management program and to implement effective e-mail marketing operations.
