N.C. Treasurer Candidate Turns To NMC
Nash County's Daughtridge targets voters through online addition to campaign efforts
Research Triangle Park, N.C.-New Media Campaigns, a pioneer in serving political campaigns, businesses and nonprofit organizations through providing Internet-based marketing solutions and Web development tools, is pleased to announce the launch of a Web site for North Carolina Rep. Bill Daughtridge. Daughtridge, who was first elected to represent Nash County in the General Assembly in 2002, is running for the office of North Carolina treasurer.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received both a bachelor's degree and a Master of Business Administration, Daughtridge is the president of Daughtridge Gas & Oil Company of Rocky Mount and of Daughtridge Gas Company of Roanoke Rapids and Greenville. Through this work, he has expanded the small company his grandfather established in 1929. He has also developed an auto care express mall, which includes a transmission shop, car wash and rental center and is one of the first businesses of its kind in the state. In his years in office, Rep. Daughtridge has focused on economic growth and has contributed to numerous committees, most recently the Commerce, Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, for which he serves as vice chairman.
In his campaign for state treasurer, Daughtridge is focusing on taking responsibility for North Carolina's long-term financial health and avoiding partisanship. To spread his message beyond his familiar base in Nash County, he turned to New Media Campaigns to develop a comprehensive Web site.
"Representative Daughtridge's passion for helping North Carolina shines through in all of his ventures, from his work in the General Assembly to his work with Daughtridge Gas & Oil and his dedication to service in his community," said Clay Schossow, New Media Campaigns' project manager. "We are thrilled to share the enthusiasm he brings to this newest venture by creating a Web platform for his campaign efforts."
